okay. i'm back from obs!

ahh. got a sore throat. had a cold last night =/ a little sunburnt and dehydrated as well.

but.. IT WAS FUN!

at first i thought obs was going to be a torture and a waste of time. but now, i am really wishing i was still there.. haha

i am in HILLARY and my instructor is DEE! notice it's in present tense because it will always stay this way, hillary's fire will never be put out =D

i really miss everyone in hillary, dee and everything we ate, did and enjoyed in obs.

first of all. let me introduce the hillarious hillary-ians. haha

all those above wee kang are from yaun ching secondary except DEE. wee kang and ian are from the public. and then it's the nanyang rockers =P so our group is multi-racial and unisex. LOL

day 1

we took a boat from punggol to pulau ubin. and the jetty at obs only had railings on one side. this is because it shows that when you are at pulau ubin, you will no longer be sheltered and in your comfort zone. the first time i crossed my legs were trembling and i held on to the railings on one side. we had briefing and DEE was our instructor! =D he is full of lame jokes and burps ALOT. haha. after that we went for belaying learning. i SAW tabin doing some ahem-indecent-ahem-stuffs. haha. after that we went to cook dinner together. food was nice =D housewife cooks EXCELLENT RICE! =D and then some of us were just sitting there eating together, talking crap and washing up. we played with water while washing =P after that we went to sleep. talked alot before sleeping i guess.. well. found out things. sometimes you are just hurt so many times that you become numb to the pain. but well, honestly, i kind of look down on you now for doing what you did no matter what excuse you have because i don't think any excuse is reasonable. and i don't think i would even forgive you for it. i saw wild pigs when we woke up and went to brush our teeth!

day 2
we woke up at five plus because i am so disciplined to wake up early =D we unpitched our tents and went for breakfast. after that went to learn how to kayak. it was quite boring. when we were about to leave for camp 1, it rained.. we had to seek shelter. played whacko and murderer.. until the rain was almost over.. we went out to wash our shoes because it was filled with sand.. but somehow we ended up playing with water, spraying each other with hoses.. but dee caught us and he was quite angry.. not because we played but because he was worried for us as there was still lightning =/ but it was really fun to play.. so i think given another chance i would still play.. sorry dee =/

after a while we kayak-ed. i was with anying., it wad quite fun but scary too. i couldn't climb up during capsize drill and took really really long.. sorry guys.. then we reached camp 1. it was nice and clean =) we pitched our tents together because there wasn't enough space.. and a dog came at night.. and it was barking beside me because i was sleepingat the side.. =/

day 3

we went to do height elements in the morning.. gloria and me paired up to climb the logs thing.. we only managed to get past first log. gloria reached second log but i couldn't.. so sorry =/was really very high and very scary.. wanted to give up while climbing the ladders already.. but lots of people gave me encouragement. thanks. had alot of cuts from the ladder and uh bruises because i fell from second to first log. =/ scary huh. but it was still fun. although i trembled for two hours after that.. couldn't eat lunch properly because hand was still trembling. had to drink alot of water to calm myself down.

kayak-ed with tabin after that. he was sweeper so both of us were at the end of the formation. was really fun. but we were the only kayak that capsized other than the time during capsize drills. because zhu tou bang into us -.- but it was really fun to capsize without preparation.. haha =D i want to capsize again! haha. we reached another campsite with lots of wildboars, mosquitoes and sandflies. we built our tents close together. and it rained! so we only had one tent for five girls. we were so bored we decided to play truth and dare with an orange. actually we just wanted to tease meiting. haha. after that we went to the quarry! it was very very very fun. all of us didn't want to leave =( we built maggie mee for dinner. it was quite okay la. there was alot of wild boars near us and we could hear them.. very scary.. a wild boar came and just started grunting there beside our tent and it was right beside me
day 4

it was kayak-ing again. i was put with ian because they wanted a strong and a weak one in one kayak. and i'm the strong one even though the guy is supposed to be the strong one -.- it was really horrible because he was like doing nothing. after some time he just sat there and refused to paddle because he was tired. so i just kept crying and paddling. it's not my fault that i cried =( it's like the tears came out itself. and my left hand was pulled on tuesday and the nurse said i shouldn't use alot of force but the person in front of me wasn't doing much so i had to paddle extra hard even though my hand was strained. but lots of people scolded him for me when we went past them. some smiled at me and asked if i'm okay. eventually after a while i stopped crying and became very angry because there isn't a reason for me to cry because of him right?

so during lunch we were at paradise island even though it stunk and there wasn't anything much but it was still called paradise island then i went and rafted up beside housewife's kayak and we were talking crap and suddenly i couldn't find my paddle.. because while talking i accidentally let go of it and it floated away.. alicia went to get it for me eventually.. haha must have scared the wits out of him.. so i guess my paddle did get abandoned as i said it would. haha

we reached camp 2.5 hours early! haha so proud of ourselves.. had jetty jump as bonus after that.. was really scared but dee calmed me down. he told me even if everyone gives up on me, he would still be there for me and that he was proud of me. wanted to cry at that moment so i decided to jump quickly before i cry.. wanted to scream "fly" at first but after what he said i shouted "i love dee" instead. haha. and because of that i became dee's fanclub's chairman

after that some of us went to cook dinner while some pitched tents.. was quite fun.. then we went to bathe while those who bathed washed up. we cleaned up the store and dee cooked campbell's vegetable soup for us because it was raining and we were very wet. went to drink milo cooked with orange after that which was prepared by dee again. i told you we love dee already =D went to sleep aftr that.. wanted to stay up and talk and play at first but all of us were so tired we fell asleep eventually.

day 5

we woke u extra late and unpitched our tents. washed all the tents and went for morning circle after that. it rained again so we were stuck under the multi-purpose hall. had breakfast there and got our certificates back. after that went to dry our tents.. was fun to toss the water off.. =D haha we got each others' numbers and emails after that.. then got our valuables back.. after that we went for souveneir shopping and then dee brought us to stand in one row at the jetty at the side with no railings and told us alot of things.. he asked us to feel if our heart was beating. and he said it would never stop because he was the one who was making our heart beat. so as long as our hearts beat, it means that he is there.

lots of people cried but i didn't.. because i couldn't and also because he said that memories are supposed to be kept, so we shouldn't tear them away. but can you believe zhu tou cried?! all of us were very shocked. haha. took lots of photos after that.. and off we went backj to singapore.. nobody wanted to leave.. =/ but all good things have to come to an end. but the hillary fire shall continue burning =D and dee will forever be in our hearts..

i went with tabin, housewife, zhu tou and anying for dinner in the evening.. went to eat seoul gardens.. haha we laughed more than we ate =D took alot of crazy photos as well. =D i hope we'll go out again soon!

woke up this morning.. and felt very lost. i miss the tents we slept in. missed unpitching tents.. missed the chewy bars and biscuits for breakfast.. miss the mosquite bites.. miss the disgusting toilets.. missed morning circle.. missed hillary.. missed siang lin, gloria, tabin, zhu tou, housewife and anying. missed the oranges we peeled and fed each other.. you peel an orange and you will only eat two slices of it because the rest is eaten up by others.. haha. and i think i peeled the most oranges.. so i dont think i can take it if i see oranges.. especially if i see and orange slice without seeds and i'll want to feed housewife =/

haha that's all for my longest post. haha. and i really love hillary and dee =)
